Victorian Championships 2013 series
Softball Victoria conducts four State Championships each year, in the age groups of Under 15, Under 17, Under 19 and Open, with sections for both female and male players.
Softball Victoria 'Regulations' for Victorian Championships
Regulations have been adopted for the conduct of Victorian Championships. These regulations in part contain sections on championship requirements and game procedures which include amendments to playing rules specifically for the championships.
The Regulations may be changed from time to time by the Board of Softball Victoria.
Current Victorian Championship Regulations will be available here shortly.
It is strongly recommended that these Regulations are drawn to the attention of the Association Secretary and or member(s) responsible for representative teams, and the appointed coaches and managers for all teams. There are numerous clauses that must be adhered to and penalties for non compliance will be applied.

Accredited Officials at Victorian Championships
Are your Team Officials Accredited?
Victorian Championship Regulations require that all coaches and statisticians with Association teams competing at any Victorian Championship must hold national level accreditation. Refer clauses C2 & C3 for details. It should be noted that coaches and statisticians will be checked at 2011 Championships. It is suggested that all coaches have with them at all times their NCAC identification card.
Not sure if your intended coaches or statisticians are accredited at the necessary levels? Contact the State Director of Coaching or State Director of Scoring to find out. Or do you know they are not accredited and need to get them so? For details of pending courses check further on the Softball Victoria website for details.
It should be noted that COACHES and MANAGERS of teams that have players or officials under the age of eighteen (18) on their team list must hold a current WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK as required by government legislation. It is also suggested that other team officials that may be, at any time, responsible for a player/official should also hold a WWCC.
Team Registration for Victorian Championships
Are you ready to register your team for Victorian Championships?
Victorian Championship Regulations require that each team to compete MUST lodge a completed registration form at least fourteen (14) days prior to the relative championship. (refer clause C1h-k). Penalties apply for failure to lodge. It should be noted names listed on the registration form shall be checked against the Softball Victoria database. It is important to ensure names on the form are the same as those submitted with your Association's registrations to Softball Victoria. Players and officials who do not meet the eligibility requirements (refer clause C4) shall not be permitted to participate and teams may be penalised for any game an ineligible member may be involved in. Also note the names listed shall be printed in the official championship program.
Pick Up Players & Officials at Victorian Championships
Victorian Championship Regulations allow that teams entered in to a Victorian Championship may elect to pick up players and or team officials from another Affiliated Association/s to enhance the composition of the team. Refer clause C4.
Particular attention should be paid to clause C4b in regards to the requirement to have a pickup player/non playing official form completed and lodged with the team registration form fourteen (14) days prior to the relative championship. It should be noted this form will take considerable time to process.
The Regulations (clause 11c) also allow that an Affiliated Association not able to name an umpire who meets the requirements, under extreme circumstances, may apply to seek assistance in providing an umpire. An application form (part 1) and (part 2) and subsequent process must be lodged with the championship team entry form.
